Charles G. Kingsbury
Founding Attorney

     Charles G. Kingsbury grew up in Dickinson, Texas and
graduated from Houston Baptist University in 1986 with a double major in computer information systems and English. 
He then graduated in 1989 from Cumberland Law School in Birmingham, Alabama.  In law school, he was a member
of the International Moot Court Team and the National Trial Team Advocacy Program.  Mr. Kingsbury was also a member of the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Journal and was an assistant editor and author of “Reservation of Rights” in Volume 12:2. Published in 1987.

     Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Kingsbury began
working for a large civil litigation law firm in Dallas, Texas before moving back to Houston, Texas.

     Mr. Kingsbury has tried over 150 jury trials to completion.  He has tried both criminal and civil cases, including DWI and major felony trials.  He is a skilled trial and appellate attorney.  Mr. Kingsbury has also resolved numerous complex family and custody cases.

     Mr. Kingsbury is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Bay Area Bar Association, the Houston Criminal Bar Association, the Galveston County Criminal Bar Association and the Montgomery County Criminal Bar Association.

ThomAS McBarron
Sr. Legal Assistant

     Thom McBarron grew up in the shadows of NASA and  studied Paralegal Studies at the Blackstone Institute graduating  with an ‘A’ overall average. Having worked for Enron, Mr. McBarron knows what it’s like to be a victim of major fraud. Soon thereafter, Mr. McBarron started his legal career working on medical malpractice and civil rights cases where he put his twelve-plus years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Technician to good legal use. Mr. McBarron started working for the Kingsbury Law Firm in 2015.

     Mr. McBarron has over 14 years of experience working with the Bureau of Prisons in low and administrative security institutions. He also has extensive experience working at a medical center where he helped revise and implement BOP policies, maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation.  He co-authored several chapters of the 10th Edition of Busted By the Feds with Larry Fassler. Mr. McBarron  has extensive experience resolving prison issues such as inadequate medical care, RDAP issues, writs, and designation.
